There are an unprecedented numbers of people hurting really badly in America and around the world right now. Millions of people around the world are experiencing unbelievable levels of hopelessness. Some are saying that the economic situation now is worse than the economic collapse of 2008 to 2011. I am not sure how true that is but that is what some say that they are feeling and it is pretty difficult to convince them otherwise. People are hurting, hungry and homeless. People are feeling it in their bones and it hurts. sleepless knights, taking sleeping piles, stressed and dressed.  There are at least three parts to these:
1) The Economic Situation: I have talked to a lot of business owners and the verdict is that it is bad. A car sales person who sold 5 cars a week consistently is now selling 2 cars in two months. Look at the statistics: Car repossession are through the roof. Home foreclosure are also up significantly and new home sales are down.
2) The Emotional Situation: No income to support your family means emotional stress. High levels of emotional roller-coaster. Stress, anxiety , depression and suicidal ideation are up. A worsening economic situation leads to a worsening health situation.
3) A Worsening Health Situation: Hospitals across America and the globe are filled with chest pain patients who have no medical issues. These are mostly stress related.  Hope is on the way!

4) The Power of Hope in Troubling Times: Hope is the engine that drives you when you feel like throwing in the towel. Hope is like a car that is running on E and the gas tank is empty and yet the car is rolling at 100 miles per hour. True hope cannot come from within us. True hope has to come from outside of us. We are in a ditch and we cannot dig ourselves out because if we could we would. If you are in a ditch right now, then call out to your Maker and He will dig you out. You Maker is God Almighty .
