If you were to watch any news channel in America lately, you may quickly notice that America is heavily divided and it seems more so today than at any time in history since the civil war. It so scary to watch the level of hatred that is displayed among Americans. If you follow any online chat rooms, it is scary to watch the comments that are thrown at fellow Americans. I am not sure who first coined the words, “right,” and “left,” but he or she was spot on.

No Middle Ground

You would hardly hear the term “middle,” although you may frequently hear the term “moderate,” to imply someone holding a less extreme position. The term “right,” v ‘left,” implies extreme and diabolically opposed positions and it is not a surprise that a true “right,” and “true “left,” cannot coexist unless they are not a true “right,” or a true “left.” Just as “east” can never meet “west,” so “right” can never meet “left,” because they are diabolically opposed. Abandoning one’s position is philosophically and practically impossible unless they are not a true “right,” or a true “left.” Each holds and maintains opposed philosophical views about life, value systems, humans and a host of other issues.

Ending the Government Shut Down

A true “right,” can not compromise with a true “left,” else they cease to being a true ‘right,” or “left.” And any compromise will be short lived and will validate the point that they are not a true “right,” or “left.”Hence, the battle between right v left continues into perpetuity even after the end of the shut down.

God Bless America
